  18. To enter MaxiPlan on a Single Floppy Drive Amiga
  19.  
  20. *  Boot from the MaxiPlan Release Disk
  21. *  Bring up MaxiPlan Plus and Open Worksheet
  22. *  remove your Boot Disk and place MaxiPlan Data
  23.    Disk in your disk drive.
  24. *  Select df0:
  25. *  Click on "Click Here to See the Directory"
  26. *  Proceed as normal following the instructions
  27.    for inserting the Boot and Data disks.

  29. 2.  The "D" Menu
  30.  
  31. On the Control Window and the Worksheet Window have a new Menu for
  32. future desk accessories.  This Menu has been set aside as a "hook"
  33. for future enhancements to MaxiPlan Plus.
  34.  
  35. 3.  How to Maximize Memory
  36.  
  37. On a 512 K system it may not be possible to open more than
  38. one MaxiPlan Worksheet at a time along with one Chart at a
  39. time.  If you are having trouble redrawing a Chart, such as
  40. having parts of the Chart missing, then you may be running
  41. out of display memory.
  42.  
  43. To get around this try any or all of the following:
  44.  
  45. *  Save and then reboot the system to clear up memory
  46.    fragmentation and create larger blocks of available memory.
  47.  
  48. *  Turn off Fast Cell Display
  49.  
  50. *  Use the Standard 4 Color Mode
  51.  
  52. *  Close the Workbench
  53.  
  54. *  Operate in 19 Line Mode.
  55.  
  56. In case you open a second Worksheet and run out of memory,
  57. the second Worksheet maybe only a partial Worksheet.  If
  58. you need to Save either the First or Second Worksheet, you
  59. may need to free up some memory by first closing one or the
  60. other Worksheet.

  62. 4.  External Drive Designation on Amiga 2000
  63.  
  64. Since the Amiga 2000 has two internal floppy disk drives,
  65. MaxiPlan calls these drives df0 and df1.
  66.  
  67. If you are using an external floppy drive, to access
  68. this drive you must key in df2: in the Path Name in the
  69. MaxiPlan File Selector Window.
  70.  
  71. 5.  Freeze Titles
  72.  
  73. MaxiPlan can Freeze any number of Rows from the top and
  74. number of Columns from the left.  
  75.  
  76. To execute Freeze Titles:
  77.  
  78. *  select a Range of Cells such that the bottom right most
  79.    Cell designates the boundary of Freeze Titles
  80. *  pull down the Options Menu and select Freeze Titles and
  81.    then select one of the Submenu Items:
  82.       - None
  83.       - Rows (Horizontal)
  84.       - Columns (Veritical)
  85.       - Both

  87. 6.  32,760 Rows in MaxiPlan Plus
  88.  
  89. MaxiPlan Plus has been limited to a maximum Worksheet size
  90. of 32,760 Rows.
  91.  
  92. 7.  Installation of MaxiPlan Plus on a new Workbench Disk
  93.  
  94. Your Amiga computer comes with a Workbench Disk.  MaxiPlan Plus
  95. is a bootable disk in that it has Workbench 1.2 installed on it
  96. already.  You may wish to transfer MaxiPlan either to a backup
  97. copy of your Workbench or onto a copy of any new version of the
  98. Workbench that may subsequently be released. 
  99.  
  100. When installing MaxiPlan onto a new Workbench, you will want to
  101. install a special set of Fonts which are only used by Charts in
  102. a high resolution mode.
  103.  
  104. To install MaxiPlan on a new Workbench Disk, be certain to copy
  105. the entire MaxiPlan drawer, not just the program.
  106.  
  107. To install the special Trantor font set:
  108.  
  109. Assuming you place MaxiPlan disk in df1 and your new system or
  110. boot disk in df0:
  111.  
  112. From CLI type:
  113.  
  114. *  COPY DF1:TRANTOR.FONT DF0:FONTS <CR>
  115. *  MAKEDIR DF0:FONTS/TRANTOR <CR>
  116. *  COPY DF1:TRANTOR/16 DF0:FONTS/TRANTOR <CR>

  118. 8.  Hard Disk Installation
  119.  
  120. When installing MaxiPlan on a Hard Disk a few points must be
  121. kept in mind.
  122.  
  123. *  The whole directory should be copied not just the MaxiPlan program
  124. *  The directory should be copied to the Root directory of
  125.    the Hard Disk
  126. *  Install the special Trantor font set for using Charts in high
  127.    resolution or 44 line display mode.
  128.  
  129. 9. When generating a Mail Merge output to a Disk File, there is no
  130. Icon created.  You must access the Disk File from the File Selector
  131. or CLI.

  138. 10.  Printer Control Menu
  139.  
  140. Version 1.8 introduces a new Menu in the Control
  141. Window which has the most frequently used printer
  142. commands used in Preferences.  This Menu called
  143. the Printer Control Menu has the 8 Menu Items
  144. listed below.
  145.  
  146. *  Printer Output with two Submenu Items
  147.       - Black & White
  148.       - Color
  149. *  Print Type Size with three Submenu Items
  150.       - Pica (generally 10 characters per inch)
  151.       - Elite (generally 12 characters per inch)
  152.       - Fine (generally 15 characters per inch)
  153. *  Set Left Margin
  154.    (brings up a Requester for keying in character location)
  155. *  Set Right Margin
  156.    (brings up a Requester for keying in character location)
  157. *  Set Page Length
  158.    (brings up a Requester for keying in number of lines)
  159. *  Perform Form Feed
  160.    (automatically inserts form feed before printing)
  161. *  Line Spacing with two Submenu Items
  162.        - 6 Lines
  163.        - 8 Lines
  164. *  Print Quality with two Submenu Items
